What I loved about this book is how to-the-point it is, and that it does not waste my time by explaining trivial details, such as how to fill out your freelancer profile. It does touch briefly on the most important parts on that topic, but it does not dwell too long on it.
Finally, I now know why the internet is littered with articles written by angry freelancers who felt cheated by Upwork. The reality truly is that Upwork is a place hostile to inexperienced people as well as seasoned experts who assume that real-world rules dominate Upwork (they don't: Upwork rules dominate Upwork). With this book - and with just a little bit of luck - I believe that a decent, knowledgeable professional can succeed on Upwork and make it a place of good additional income.

Interesting to see another freelancer's perspective I'm at work. I agree with most of what's in this book; clients aren't always out to get you, but when they are, they are.
This is a lot to take in during an initial reading and I'm not real sure on some insights as to whether they are facts, or contain bias, or just are cautionary. Certainly as a whole a worthwhile read.
This is actually a very helpful book, especially if you are a first-time Upwork freelancer or a potential Upwork freelancer. A lot of the cautions are explored as well as remedies for some common issues freelancers face. Although there are several spelling/grammatical errors, it was a quick and easy read. Several key phrases are in bold and this was helpful in navigating the value of the chapter or section. Definitely a good read!

To sum it up, the book informs the reader about the landmines that exist on Upwork and how much liability the freelancer has on the platform. Most books on Upwork are sugarcoated and mention only the positive aspects of working on Upwork, so to say that this book is an eye opener is an understatement! If you're planning on working on this platform, know what you're potentially getting into! Highly recommended.
